You’re telling me a guy that goes by the name “Vehicle Identification Number Diesel,” in a movie about grown-ass adults with too much disposable income farting around in econoboxes, is going to end up with as many sequels as four decades worth of Star Wars? And the next one is going to feature the hero of
Mad Max: Fury Road
(and my on-and-off again waifu) as the antagonist?? I should probably see one of these movies.

To be fair they’re pretty much unsubtle superhero movies now.
In the latest one he thunderstomps and makes a parking garage collapse, in a dual-wrench swordfight with a Bond villain.
Also at the same time an African warlord flew around in Airwolf using drones to fight a minigun-toting Dwayne Johnson.

Greeting’s from the other side of the fence. I’m probably the only 31 year old male in the Information Technology field that has been unable to sit though one whole Star Wars movie ever. However I’ve seen every F&F movie multiple times.
I was never introduced to Star Wars at a young age, none of my childhood friends were into it, and by the time I was forced to sit though a screening of it (on a bus ride) I couldn’t get into it. Every time since then has been the same thing. Family Guy’s Star Wars is as close as I have come.

Honestly, the new Star Wars is the only one I’ve seen more than once and remember anything about. I treat movies the same way as books, go through it once but there are very few that get repeat visits from me. You are weird though!

Im your age as well. While Im a Scifi, Space, science and tech fan. I have never sat through any Star Wars or Star Trek movies. I cant get into them. Like you, Family Guy episodes are all I know of them.

I was more upset that vcr thieves became globetrotting ultra spies. How the hell does that happen? and if a national security threat drives around in high performance cars to do his capers, why dont they use AT weapons? or grenade launchers? or fifty cals? is dwane johnson and vin deisel literally invulnerable? This next movie is probably going to be a superhero flick where vin flies around in a magic transforming car suit.

And just like all series people have differing ideas as to at what point they stopped being a car movie and turned into a heist movie with cars.

I’m the exact same. No interest in Star Wars whatsoever and have never been able to stay awake thru a whole movie. But I’ve seen every F&F multiple times. I’ve easily watched the Original and Tokyo Drift 50 times each and I’m not in any way exaggerating.
I’ve got to say that Fast Five is my favorite of the bunch.
